Raising questions over lack of clarity in a March 6 Constitution Bench verdict on land acquisition, a three-judge Bench of the Supreme Court on Monday said it created some confusion. “There are some questions in my mind. I want to discuss it with judges. The Constitution Bench judgement, I think, creates confusion,” said a three-judge Bench led by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde. — TNS

new delhi: PD Vaghela, a 1986-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre, was on Monday appointed Chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). His tenure will be three years or till he attains the age of 65. Vaghela, who is currently the Secretary of Department of Pharmaceuticals, was due to retire on Wednesday. He will succeed RS Sharma, who completes his tenure on Wednesday. — PTI
