SpiceJet to function 9 constitution flights to Kyrgyzstan to repatriate over 1,500 Indian college students


New Delhi, July 23

SpiceJet on Thursday stated it can function 9 constitution flights in affiliation with Bollywood actor Sonu Sood to repatriate over 1,500 Indian college students from Kyrgyzstan through the subsequent two months.

“SpiceJet operated the first charter flight from Bishkek (capital of Kyrgyzstan) to bring back 135 students to their hometown of Varanasi today,” the airline stated in a press launch.

Scheduled worldwide passenger flights proceed to stay suspended in India since March 23 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

“SpiceJet…will operate nine charter flights to evacuate over 1,500 Indian students stranded in Kyrgyzstan for over two months. This special repatriation mission…has been undertaken by SpiceJet in association with film actor Sonu Sood,” the press launch famous.

The low-cost service has operated over 400 constitution flights to repatriate round 65,000 Indians from nations like Oman, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.

Till now, greater than 1.24 million folks have been contaminated and round 29,600 folks have died attributable to coronavirus in India.

Scheduled home passenger flights resumed in India on May 25 after a spot of two months because of the coronavirus-triggered lockdown. PTI
