An 11-year-old boy allegedly dedicated suicide in Maharashtra’s Nagpur metropolis after being reprimanded by his mom for purchasing a samosa, police stated on Tuesday.
Veeru Natthu Sahu was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan at his residence in Ganga Nagar in Gittikhadan space on Sunday night time, an official stated.
The deceased boy’s household was struggling to make ends meet after their small enterprise was hit due to the COVID-induced lockdown, he stated.
The Class 7 scholar had taken Rs 10 from residence with out asking his mom and acquired a samosa, which was then eaten by his elder brother, the official stated.
The boy’s mom scolded him for taking cash with out her permission and requested him to get the snack for himself, following which the distraught minor allegedly went into the kitchen and hanged himself utilizing a saree, he stated.
The Gittikhadan police have registered a case of unintentional loss of life on this regard, the official added. PTI
