Jaipur, July 18
Rajasthan Police’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a case in reference to two audio clips of conversations purportedly concerning a “conspiracy” to topple the Ashok Gehlot authorities.
DG ACB Alok Tripathi on Saturday mentioned the FIR was registered below the Prevention of Corruption Act on a criticism by Chief Whip Mahesh Joshi on Friday.
In the FIR, particulars of conversations of insurgent MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma with Sanjay Jain and Union minister Gajendra Singh are talked about.
While the Congress alleged that Sanjay Jain is a BJP chief, the saffron get together rejected the allegation, saying he had no reference to the BJP.
“We will send the audio clips to the Forensic Science Laboratory for testing,” the police official instructed reporters.
Prior to the ACB, the Special Operations Group of the Rajasthan Police (SOG) had registered two FIRs on Friday morning and arrested Sanjay Jain in reference to one case on Friday night time.
Jain’s title had surfaced in a viral audio recording about horse buying and selling of legislators to topple the Congress authorities in Rajasthan. — PTI
