The President has accepted the resignation of Harsimrat Kaur Badal from the Union Council of Ministers, underneath clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution.
Narendra Singh Tomar, Cabinet Minister, be assigned the cost of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, along with his present portfolios.

Badal on Thursday resigned from the Union Cabinet in protest towards the farm-related Bills.
She walked out of the Lok Sabha when the House was taking over a dialogue on the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, tabled by the NDA authorities to switch the ordinances issued earlier.
