PMO clears names of Sikh religion leaders invited to Ayodhya ‘Bhumi Pujan’

As many as 9 saints and different religion leaders of Sikh neighborhood are on the checklist of attendees for the Ram Temple building associated ‘Bhumi Pujan’ ceremony in Ayodhya, scheduled for August 5.

The names of invitees, which had been drawn up by the “Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerath Kshetra Trust”, have been cleared by Prime Minister Office (PMO).

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony, and also will lay a silver brick on the Ram Janmabhoomi web site, marking graduation of the development.

In view of bodily distancing norms, the variety of invitees has been restricted. They embody 50 religious and spiritual figures of various faiths. 

The Sikh religion leaders embody the top monks of all of the 5 Takhts, and the nationwide president of the RSS-affiliate Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, Gurcharan Singh Gill.

As was earlier reported by Tribune, the top priest of the Akal Takht (Amritsar) has been requested to symbolize Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and the Takht Sri Damdama Sahib as a result of the three are situated in Punjab.

Head monks of Takht Nanded Sahib and Takht Patna Sahib will attend the ceremony as these centre are situated in two states, Maharashtra and Bihar, respectively.

Other Sikh invitees are head of Nanaksar sect having headquarters at Kleran village in Ludhiana, Baba Lakha Singh; head of Nirmal sect Srimant Gyan Dev (situated in Haridwar); head of Ravidas sect Baba Pritam Das (headquarters at Jalandhar); head priest of Brahmakund Gurdwara, situated in Ayodhya, Gurjeer Singh, and Dr Rameshwarand Hari.

Meanwhile, backed by Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, a 48-hour “Akhand Path” began this morning in Brahmakund Gurdwara in Ayodhya as a thanksgiving gesture to the Gurus.

Gill stated he will likely be taking soil from spiritual locations of Valmiki and different SCs communities from Jaipur to Ayodhya which will likely be a part of a “Kalash” for the Bhumi Pujan.

A Sikh chief, who has already reached Ayodhya, stated a delegation of religion leaders from Punjab has left for Ayodhya to participate within the ‘Path’.

They should not invitees for the Bhumi Pujan ceremony. They embody Baba Nirmal Singh Randhawa who will likely be carrying waters from 5 websites having spiritual significance in Amritsar.
