‘Pati, Patni aur Woh’ spat spills on to Mumbai street

A public brawl between a girl and her husband on a busy south Mumbai street that disrupted site visitors, leaving Mumbaikars each amused and irritated is doing the rounds on social media.

Around 5 pm on Saturday, a girl in a white automobile intercepted a black SUV, obtained down, began screaming and shouting on the man, apparently her husband within the driver’s seat, banged the windshield, climbed on the bonnet at the same time as site visitors halted to view the “tamasha” (fiasco) on the Pedder Road.

Even as site visitors police rushed to regulate her and the vehicular motion on one land was blocked, she screamed at her husband and he stepped out and tried to run away from there, however the girl caught him and nearly dragged him to her automobile, even kicking him a few instances.

The police directed him to halt close to the footpath when the girl once more stepped out, ran to her husband’s black SUV parked a number of metres away, opened the driver-side door and lunged on the girl occupant within the subsequent seat earlier than she was stopped by the onlookers who had gathered there.

Though she refused to lodge a police criticism within the matter, the police later slapped a high-quality for the offence of abandoning her automobile on the street.

“There was no physical violence, this falls in the category of non-cognisable offence so we can do nothing about it… However, the lady was fined for traffic rule violations and let off,” Gamdevi Police Station Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Mohite instructed IANS.

Meanwhile, movies of the incident shot by some native eyewitnesses went viral with some demanding arrest and exemplary motion in opposition to the couple — whose identities weren’t clear.
