The ED today said fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi’s younger sister and her husband had “turned approvers” in the US$2 billion Punjab National Bank ( fraud case. They have made a plea in a Mumbai special court that they will help the agency in confiscating assets worth Rs 579 crore. Nirav’s uncle Mehul Choksi and others are being probed by the ED. — TNS
