The anti-terror probe company NIA on Tuesday stated it has arrested three extra accused individuals within the Bhima Koregaon Elgar Parishad case and produced them earlier than a particular courtroom in Mumbai as we speak, which granted the company their custodial interrogation until September 11.
Officials within the probe company recognized the arrested individuals as Sagar Tatyaram Gorkhe, Ramesh Murlidhar Gaichor and Jyoti Raghoba Jagtap, all of their 30s and residents of Pune district.

“The arrested accused persons are members of Kabir Kala Manch, a frontal outfit of banned terrorist organisation CPI (Maoist),” a senior NIA official stated, including: “During investigation it was revealed that accused Gorkhe, Gaichor and Jagtap were propagating Naxal activities and Maoist ideology and were co-conspirators with other arrested accused.”
“It has additionally come on file that the arrested accused individuals have been involved with absconding accused Milind Teltumbde of the city community of CPI (Maoist). Also it’s established that in their visits (of Kabir Kala Manch members) within the jungle, they underwent weapon and explosive coaching and consciousness programmes on numerous subjects associated to Maoist motion, the official stated.
The case arose out of a Pune police case in 2018 concerning inciting folks and giving provocative speeches throughout Elgar Parishad organised at Shaniwarwada within the district by the activists of Kabir Kala Manch on December 31, 2017, which promoted enmity between numerous caste teams and led to violence leading to lack of life and property and state-wide agitation in Maharashtra.
“During investigation, it was revealed that senior leaders of banned CPI (Maoist) were in contact with the organisers of Elgar Parishad as well as the arrested accused persons in the case so as to spread the ideology of Maoism/Naxalism and encourage unlawful activities,” the official stated.
The NIA took up the probe within the case on January 24, 2020 and arrested accused Anand Teltumbde and Gautam Navlakha on April 14. Further, accused Hanybabu Musaliyavirtil Tarayil was arrested on July 28.
