The Union Cabinet in the present day permitted a proposal to arrange a National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET) to pick out candidates for all Group B and C posts within the Central Government and public sector banks.
Briefing media after the assembly of the Union Cabinet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar stated, “The government has decided to set up National Recruitment Agency to conduct Common Eligibility Test. This decision will benefit young job-seekers.”
The minister stated 2.5 crore aspirants take a number of examinations performed by companies for choice to 1.25 lakh authorities jobs marketed every year. Now, candidates will seem for a single on-line check and its scores will stay legitimate for 3 years.
The company will initially complement three recruiting companies – Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) and Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) by conducting the primary degree of unified eligibility examination, Minister for Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Jitendra Singh stated, including that the ultimate exams can be performed by the respective recruiting companies.
