National coronavirus caseload cross 80-lakh mark with 48,268 instances


New Delhi, October 31

A single-day rise of 48,268 infections on Saturday has pushed India’s COVID-19 caseload to 81,37,119, data provided by the Union Health Ministry read.

Meanwhile, 551 more fatalities have taken the death toll to 1,21,641, the data provided at 8 am read.

India’s active COVID-19 cases stand at 5,82,649 while 74,32,829 people have recovered from the disease so far: Union Health Ministry has said.

The number of active cases has remained below six lakh for the second consecutive day. PTI
