Naga teams search PM’s intervention in peace talks

New Delhi, August 9

Amid the Centre resuming negotiations with NSCN-IM leaders, two Naga civil society teams — Naga Hoho and the Naga Mothers’ Association — in a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi have requested him of his private intervention in resolving vexed points.

A Naga Hoho member accused Nagaland Governor and peace discuss interlocutor RN Ravi of resorting to autocratic functioning. “He is breaking the trust and faith of the people,” the 2 teams said.

Another functionary mentioned, “The Governor has been hounding the same people with whom he is supposed to negotiate and conclude the peace talks.” — TNS
