Five months after the Supreme Court allowed everlasting fee for Short Service Commission (SSC) girls officers, the Ministry of Defence has issued a proper order permitting girls to be everlasting commissioned officers in eight further streams within the Army.

Women SSC officers are presently allowed a everlasting fee within the Judge and Advocate General (JAG) and Army Education Corps (AEC) branches.
