New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sought three extra months to border guidelines of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Officials stated a plea on this regard has been submitted to the Department Related Standing Committee for Subordinate Legislation. The transfer comes within the backdrop that the foundations for any laws must be framed inside six months of the presidential assent or an extension should be sought in accordance with the Manual on Parliamentary Work.TNS
