New Delhi, November 12

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President-elect Joe Biden would speak with each other in due course at a mutually convenient time, the MEA has said.

PM Modi and other leaders from the democratic world had congratulated Biden soon after all US TV networks declared a lead for him, but leaders from Russia and China have not reacted so far.

PM Modi, in his congratulatory tweet to Biden, had also conveyed that he looked forward to working with him to take India-US relations to greater heights.

Asked about the future of ties under an incoming US administration, the MEA said the foundations of India-US relations were very strong.
