The BJP on Thursday demanded that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities in Maharashtra supply different concessions to the Marathas till the reservation for the group in schooling and jobs is restored.
State BJP chief Chandrakant Patil additionally alleged that the Supreme Court stayed the implementation of the 2018 legislation granting quota to the group due to lack of seriousness proven by the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress authorities in pursuing the case.
“Like the (previous) BJP government, the MVA government should give relief through concessions to the Maratha community until it gets back reservation,” he stated in an announcement.
As the completion of the constitutional means of giving the reservation to the Marathas took a while, the BJP authorities within the state had supplied a number of concessions to the group in schooling and employment, Patil stated.
