Leopard discovered useless close to village in MP’s Umaria district

A four-year-old leopard was discovered useless in a forested space close to a village in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district on Friday, an official stated.

The carcass was discovered near Barbaspur village, round 40 km from the district headquarters, the official stated.

It is suspected that the leopard may need been killed by a tiger that has been noticed within the space regularly, as pug marks have been discovered close to the carcass, space forest sub-divisional officer R L Sharma stated.

The precise reason behind loss of life of the animal can be ascertained after autopsy, he added. PTI
