Senior BJP chief and former Uttar Pradesh CM Kalyan Singh on Monday accused the then Congress authorities on the Centre of levelling “false and baseless allegations” towards him within the Babri mosque demolition case and stated he was “innocent”.

“The then Congress government at the Centre levelled false and baseless allegations against me and filed a case out of political animosity,” he instructed mediapersons after showing earlier than a CBI particular court docket right here in reference to the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case.

The 88-year-old chief stated, “As the UP CM, I and my government ensured adequate three-tier security of the disputed structure in Ayodhya.”
