Jeweller set on hearth in UP’s Firozabad

Firozabad/Lucknow, August 18

A jeweller was set on hearth by a shopkeeper in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad suspecting the sufferer had a bootleg relationship along with his spouse, resulting in her suicide, a senior police official mentioned on Tuesday.

The sufferer, recognized as Rakesh, suffered 80 per cent burns and has been referred to an Agra hospital for therapy, police mentioned, including that the incident passed off within the Dakshin police station space on Tuesday afternoon.

Meanwhile reacting to it, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and state Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu alleged poor regulation and order within the state.

Rakesh (40) was sitting in his jewelry store when Robin, who runs a store in his neighbourhood, threw an inflammable liquid from a bottle on him after a heated argument and set him on hearth, Senior Superintendent of Police Sachindra Patel mentioned.        

Rakesh was initially taken to the district hospital from the place he was referred to the Agra hospital in a severe situation, the SSP mentioned.

He mentioned 4 police groups have been arrange and CCTV footage is being checked to nab the accused who fled after the incident.

The assist of the Special Operations Group can also be being taken, he mentioned.

In a tweet, he mentioned the BJP’s personal legislators are levelling severe costs in opposition to their authorities over the regulation and order state of affairs because the “crime is not stopping”.
