Competitive checks JEE (Main) for engineering entrance and NEET UG for MBBS admissions are on target, the National Testing Agency (NTA) stated at present whereas wishing college students “all the best”.
BJP member Subramanian Swamy, in the meantime, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in search of his intervention to postpone the exams amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
While the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is scheduled between September 1 and 6, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test is slated for September 13.
The NTA at present stated even the Supreme Court had rejected the petition to postpone the exams. The SC had dismissed the plea saying the exams can be held with due precaution. The NTA stated because of the pandemic, JEE candidates got the chance 5 instances to vary their alternative of centre metropolis. —TNS
