Internal probe to look at alleged information mining by Chinese agency

The authorities has taken up the matter of alleged snooping on tens of 1000’s of outstanding Indians by a Chinese firm Zhenhua Data IT Co. with the Chinese facet, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Anurag Srivastava mentioned on the weekly media briefing right here on Thursday.

The Chinese facet has conveyed that the corporate is a personal entity and has no reference to the Chinese authorities. The authorities has constituted an Expert Committee beneath the National Cyber Security Coordinator to review these reviews, consider their implications, assess any violations of legislation and submit its suggestions inside 30 days, mentioned Srivastava.
