Police have busted a flesh trade racket at a lodge in Bhiwandi town here in Maharashtra and arrested three persons in this connection, an official said on Thursday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on the lodge on Tuesday night and rescued two women, aged 32 and 23 years, from there, the official from Narpoli police station said.
Three persons, including the manager of the lodge and two waiters, were arrested for allegedly forcing the women into prostitution, he said.
A case was registered against them under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, he said. —PTI
