India’s democracy ‘hollowed’: Cong

New Delhi: After Ashoka University professors Pratap Bhanu Mehta and Arvind Subramaniam resigned citing “lack of academic freedom”, former Congress ministers P Chidambaram and Ashwani Kumar called upon people to “resist the imposition of one thought”.

“The forced resignation of Pratap Bhanu Mehta has confirmed yet again that ours is a hollowed democracy,” they said. — TNS
