India, Maldives will assist one another in struggle in opposition to well being, financial impression of Covid: Modi


New Delhi, September 21

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday India and the Maldives as shut buddies and neighbours would proceed to assist one another of their struggle in opposition to the well being and financial impression of Covid-19.

Modi was responding to a tweet by Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih wherein he expressed his due to the prime minister for India’s monetary help to his nation.

“India has always risen to the occasion whenever Maldives needed a friend. My sincere thanks to PM @narendramodi, government and people of India for their neighbourly spirit and generosity following the official hand over of USD 250 million as financial assistance today,” Solih stated.

Modi replied, “Appreciate your warm sentiments, President @ibusolih! As close friends and neighbours, India and Maldives will continue to support each other in our fight against the health and economic impact of COVID-19.” PTI
