I miss my buddy so much: PM on Jaitley’s loss of life anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday remembered his late Cabinet colleague and buddy of many many years Arun Jaitley on his first loss of life anniversary and stated he diligently served India.

“On this day, last year, we lost Shri Arun Jaitley Ji. I miss my friend a lot.  Arun Ji diligently served India. His wit, intellect, legal acumen and warm personality were legendary. Here is what I had said during a prayer meeting in his memory,” Modi tweeted, posting a video of his speech on the condolence assembly held right here for Jaitley final 12 months.

Besides the prime minister, different prime BJP leaders, together with Home Minister Amit Shah and social gathering president J P Nadda, paid wealthy tributes to him.

A key BJP chief and a vital member of the social gathering’s mind belief for many years, Jaitley was an articulate champion of the saffron social gathering’s insurance policies and beliefs, and his heat character and affable manners gained him mates throughout the political spectrum.

He served because the Union finance minister within the first Modi authorities and wore many hats in public life, from that of a lawyer to a politician and a cricket administrator.  He died at 66 years of age final 12 months after battling extended sickness. PTI
