I-Day: Unscheduled transit flights barred from touchdown in Delhi for particular hours on August 15

New Delhi, Aug 14

Delhi’s worldwide airport operator DIAL mentioned on Friday that unscheduled transit flights wouldn’t be allowed to land for 4 hours within the morning and three hours within the night on Independence Day.

DIAL, which was quoting a current Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the central authorities, mentioned scheduled industrial passengers and cargo flights can be allowed to function as ordinary.

The order mentioned transit flights can’t land on the Delhi airport between 6 am and 10 am in addition to between four pm and seven pm on August 15.

The DIAL mentioned the NOTAM is relevant just for chartered (not-scheduled) flights. But there can be no influence of the NOTAM on helicopter operations of the Indian Air Force, Border Security Force and the Indian Army, it mentioned, including that the state-owned planes and helicopters can fly with the governor or the chief minister.
