Gurugram, October 27
A 22-year-old woman living in a paying guest accommodation in DLF Phase-3 allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.
The PG operator reported the incident, which occurred on Monday, to the police. The police have taken the custody of the body and informed the deceased person’s family.
The deceased has been identified as Neha, a native of Sitamarhi in Bihar.
According to the police, the woman used to live alone in the PG accommodation at DLF Phase-3.
The father of the victim, Rakesh Jha, stated in his police complaint that his daughter was employed with a private company in Gurugram and had lost her job during the lockdown.
While living in Gurugram, she had befriended one Amit. Later their friendship had turned into a relationship. It is alleged that Neha was having a feud with Amit for the last few days, due to which she was quite upset.
“A case of abetment to suicide has been registered against Amit on the complaint filed by the deceased’s father at DLF Phase-3 police station. He will be arrested soon. Further investigation is on,” Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram Oolice, said. IANS
