Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on Monday said the government had prepared guidelines for the opening of schools.
These guidelines had been made keeping in mind the safety of children, he said.
States/UTs to prepare their own SOP regarding health and safety precaution for reopening of schools based on the SOP to be issued by DoSEL, @EduMinOfIndia. States/UTs may adopt or adapt the SOP as per local context and requirements. #SchoolGuidelines

The states can open schools from October 15 keeping in mind individual situation in the state.
In a series of tweets, he said the states can consult experts and other organisations and make a decision whether they can open schools from October 15.
