An FIR has been lodged towards a authorities college professor right here for allegedly posting photos of Pakistani flag and map on a social networking website, police stated on Thursday.
The case was registered on the Baradar police station on Wednesday on a grievance of VHP chief Neeru Bhardwaj, they stated.
Bhardwaj has alleged that Salim Khan, a Physics professor on the Rohilkhand University right here, tried to harm the emotions of individuals by posting photos of Pakistani flag and map in his Facebook account on Tuesday.
Inspector Baradar Shitanshu Sharma stated an inquiry is on within the matter.
According to police, the professor has given an apology to University Vice Chancellor Anil Kumar Shukla, who stated that the matter will likely be put earlier than the college govt council. —PTI
