Five members of a household had been killed when their automobile collided with an SUV close to Nadiad city in Gujarat’s Kheda district, police stated on Monday.
Four different members of the family and driver of the sports activities utility car (SUV) had been injured within the accident that happened on National Highway No. 48 on Sunday evening, they stated.
The 9 members of the family, hailing from Kalupur space of Ahmedabad, had been getting back from Anand city after assembly their family members when the dashing SUV rammed into their automobile close to Pij village on the freeway, Vaso police station’s inspector FA Pargi stated.
Five automobile occupants, together with two youngsters, died on the spot whereas 4 others obtained accidents and had been referred to the civil hospital, he stated.
The SUV driver, Pramukh Patel, who was the lone occupant of his car, was additionally injured and admitted to a hospital, the official stated.
The deceased have been recognized as Seema Shaikh (24), her daughter Tanaaz (4), dad and mom Yakub Shaikh (52) and Kausar Banu (50) and niece Inaya Shaikh (9).
“An FIR has been registered against Patel under the Indian Penal Code Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304(A) (causing death by negligence) and he will be arrested after being discharged from hospital,” the official stated. PTI
