Fake forex notes with face worth of Rs three lakh seized, two held in Bengal

Two individuals have been arrested in West Bengal’s Malda district after pretend Indian forex notes with a face worth of Rs three lakh have been recovered from them, police mentioned on Saturday.

Acting on a tip-off, the 2 have been apprehended from Madhughat space in English Bazar Police Station limits on Friday night time.

They have been carrying counterfeit notes with a face worth of Rs three lakh, a senior police officer mentioned.

All the pretend notes have been within the denomination of Rs 2000, he added.

The two have been recognized as Abu Bakkar and Dalu Miya, each residents of Kaliachalk space of Malda district.

Further investigation is underway, the officer added.
