Facebook says not partisan

Facebook India vice-president and managing director Ajit Mohan on Friday mentioned the agency was a non-partisan platform and would proceed to take away content material posted by public figures in India that had been in violation of its requirements, amid allegations that the social media large didn’t apply hate speech guidelines for posts by sure ruling get together politicians.

Recently, a Wall Street Journal report alleged that Facebook’s content material insurance policies favoured the ruling get together in India. Since then, the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress have been buying and selling barbs over social media large’s alleged bias. — PTI
