ED attaches Rs2,200 cr property in Yes Bank case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the moment hooked up property value Rs 2,203 crore of Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor and DHFL’s Wadhawan brothers below the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

The probe company mentioned the current market worth of those property was greater than Rs 2,800 crore, which included immovable properties in India and overseas, financial institution accounts, investments, luxurious automobiles, and so on. These property belong to Kapoor, Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan and the entities managed by them, the ED mentioned.

New Delhi: The ED on Thursday questioned senior Congress chief Ahmed Patel at his residence for the fourth time in reference to the Rs14,500 crore Sterling Biotech financial institution fraud and cash laundering case.

“The assets belonging to Kapoor and entities connected to him amount to Rs 792 crore (the present market value Rs 1,400 crore). These include an independent residential building “Khursidabad” at Cumbala Hill, three duplex flats at Napean Sea Road, a flat within the NCPA, Nariman Point; eight flats in India Bulls Blue, Worli in Mumbai and a bungalow at 40 Amrita Shergill Marg in New Delhi having a market worth of Rs 685 crore. All these properties have been hooked up,” it mentioned.

“The attached assets belonging to Wadhawan brothers and related entities are of a total value of Rs 1,411.9 crore,” the ED mentioned.
