BJP on Monday mentioned they weren’t conscious of the explanations behind Harsimrat Kaur’s resignation from the Union Cabinet and identified that the Akali Dal chief had solely questioned concerning the authorized points of the farm Ordinances after they had been being mentioned.
Responding to a query relating to the resignation of Harsimrat Kaur, senior BJP chief Ravi Shankar Prasad mentioned: “She (Harsimrat Kaur Badal) has been a distinguished member of the Cabinet. She was a part of the Cabinet where it (farm Ordinance) was discussed. She asked whether it was legally possible, as the Law Minister I clarified…”
“Why they (Akali Dal) did it, we don’t know. She has been a distinguished minister in the Cabinet and I would like to remember her like that,” Prasad added.
Notably, Akali Dal resigned from the Cabinet saying that their considerations relating to the Ordinances weren’t addressed, terming the Bills changing them anti-farmer.
