Doctors who performed Sushant Singh Rajput’s post-mortem get threats, abuse

Doctors who signed the post-mortem report of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput are actually receiving a torrent of abuse, threats and allegations.

Screen-shots of the post-mortem report that had names and cell numbers of the 5 medical doctors from Cooper Hospital right here have discovered their option to social media as conspiracy theories about Rajput’s demise started to do the rounds.

While the medical doctors have been unavailable for remark, president of the Medico-Legal Association of Maharashtra, Dr Shailesh Mohite, stated they have been receiving abusive telephone calls and messages for the previous few days.

Some media reviews stated that callers accused the medical doctors of taking bribe to ‘suppress’ the reality within the report.

“The dean of Cooper Hospital Dr Pinakin Gujjar informed me about the harassment of five doctors who signed the PM (post-mortem) examination report,” Dr Mohite advised PTI.

“The hospital’s landline numbers have been additionally flooded with related calls.

“I feel that firm legal action should be taken against such trolls, as some of them have gone ahead and found personal details of these doctors and shared screenshots on social media platforms,” Dr Mohite stated.

“It is unfortunate that doctors have to go through such harassment and their families are being targeted,” he added.

Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly dedicated suicide at his Bandra residence on June 14.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld switch of an FIR registered by Bihar police within the case to the CBI, and stated the central company alone will probe the circumstances associated to the actor’s demise. PTI
