Delhi riots: Sharjeel despatched to 14-day custody

New Delhi: A Delhi courtroom has despatched JNU pupil Sharjeel Imam, arrested beneath the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, to judicial custody for 14 days in a case associated to communal violence in northeast Delhi. Imam was arrested by the particular cell of the Delhi Police on August 25 for allegedly being a part of a “premeditated conspiracy” in connection to the riots in the course of the anti-CAA protests. — PTI
