Delhi: COVID-19 optimistic journalist kills self by leaping off AIIMS constructing

New Delhi, July 6

A 37-year-old journalist present process therapy for COVID-19 on the AIIMS Trauma Centre died after allegedly leaping off the fourth ground of the hospital constructing on Monday afternoon, police mentioned.

The journalist labored with a Hindi day by day and was a resident of northeast Delhi’s Bhajanpura, they mentioned.

The incident occurred at round 2 pm and the person was rushed to the hospital’s ICU the place medical doctors tried to revive him, a physician mentioned on situation of anonymity.

According to Devender Arya, Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest), the journalist was admitted to the COVID-19 ward on the Trauma Centre on June 24 after testing optimistic for the virus.

“He was admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre on June 24 and was apparently shifted to a High Dependency unit at the hospital. He was admitted on the first floor,” a supply at AIIMS mentioned. 

He had undergone a surgical procedure for mind tumour lately, the physician mentioned. PTI
