Death toll rises to 15 in Maharashtra constructing collapse

With the restoration of two extra our bodies, the demise toll within the constructing collapse incident in Maharashtra’s Raigad district reached 15 on Wednesday, a police official stated.

There isn’t any probability of any extra individuals buried below the rubble, the official stated.

“The bodies of a 70-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were recovered in the early hours. This took the death toll in the incident to 15,” Superintendent of Police, Raigad, Anil Paraskar instructed PTI.

The five-storey constructing – – Tareq Garden — in Mahad city, round 170 km from Mumbai, collapsed on Monday night.

The rescue groups comprising the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and police are working around the clock to avoid wasting these caught below the particles.

“Although there is no likelihood of any more people stuck under the rubble, the search and rescue operation is still on. The debris is being cleared,” Paraskar stated.

On Tuesday, a four-year-old boy and a 60-year-old lady had been rescued. PTI
