Covid-19: Sisodia writes to HM Shah, seeks instructions to L-G to permit accommodations, weekly markets in Delhi

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in search of instructions to LG Anil Baijal to permit accommodations and weekly markets within the metropolis.

Sisodia’s letter comes a day after Baijal rejected the Arvind Kejriwal authorities’s choice to permit accommodations and weekly markets to reopen within the nationwide capital, saying the COVID-19 state of affairs continues to be “fragile” and the risk continues to be “far from over”.

In the letter written in Hindi, the deputy chief minister stated that the Delhi authorities will once more ship its proposal on reopening of accommodations and weekly markets to the lieutenant governor on Tuesday.

“I request you to ask LG not to stop the proposal. If traders start their business, jobs will be generated, and that the condition of economy will improve,” Sisodia, who additionally holds the finance portfolio, stated. — PTI
