Cong seeks ministry for migrants


New Delhi, September 20

The Lok Sabha on Sunday debated the Covid-19 pandemic with the Congress fielding its ginger group member Shashi Tharoor to open the discussions from the opposition aspect, and the BJP countering Tharoor’s fees by subsequent audio system.

In his 15-minute comment, Tharoor accused the federal government of a “shock and awe” type of governance as evidenced within the 21-day nationwide lockdown which left poor migrants stranded and harassed and referred to as Prime Minister Narendra Modi an “emperor who asked people to clap while the disease took its toll”.

Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, recalling the tragedy involving migrants, lots of who died strolling again residence, demanded a separate ministry for migrant points. He stated many migrants have been struggling in a “dictator-ruled West Bengal”. — TNS
