New Delhi, January 11

As many as ten central trade unions jointly wrote to Union Labour Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar on Monday to say that the meeting convened by him on Tuesday to discuss the rules to be framed under Labour Codes was a “farce”.

The unions said that they want a physical meeting instead of the proposed virtual meeting.

Parliament had passed laws in relation to the Industrial Relations (IR) Code, the Social Security Code, and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code (OSH).
