Chinese girl, accomplice ‘paid’ scribe for data


New Delhi, September 19

With the arrest of freelance journalist Rajeev Sharma, a Chinese girl and her Nepalese accomplice, the Delhi Police at the moment claimed to have cracked a Chinese espionage case.

SK Yadav, DCP, stated: “Sharma had links with a foreign intelligence officer and was getting funds for passing on sensitive information.” A laptop computer and confidential defence paperwork had been seized from his home, he stated. Qing Shi and her accomplice Sher Singh have been held. — TNS
