The Haryana Police have been placed on excessive alert after stories of sighting of fugitive Vikas Dubey, chargeable for the homicide of eight policemen in Uttar Pradesh, in a Faridabad lodge, officers stated on Wednesday.
However, he escaped earlier than the native police may conduct a raid.
As per the intelligence stories, Vikas had stayed at in a small-budget lodge situated within the populated Badkhal Chowk space below a pretend identification.
Joint groups of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have detained a Dubey aide who confirmed that Dubey stayed with him on the lodge.
The police have managed to entry a CCTV seize which confirmed Dubey, donning a darkish black shirt, denims and masks, was current within the lodge.
Another CCTV seize confirmed he was standing on the roadside with a bag, awaiting a car.
As per the lodge employees, Vikas had recognized himself as Ankur, and had escaped the lodge earlier than the police arrived.
“As per our information, Vikas Dubey is using a public transport for his movement in Delhi and the NCR (National Capital Region). The CCTV footage clearly showed he was waiting for a vehicle on the roadside,” a senior police official advised IANS.
A large manhunt for the gangster has been underway within the Delhi-NCR area.
Earlier within the day, the Special Task Force (STF) shot lifeless Amar Dubey in an encounter in Maudaha in Uttar Pradesh.
