Patna, September 5
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday introduced a 70-member election steering committee headed by Union Minister Nityanand Rai for the upcoming meeting polls in Bihar.
The Union minister of state for house affairs has been made chairman-cum-convenor of the committee, whereas the get together’s state unit basic secretary Devesh Kumar can be its co- convenor, Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party chief Sanjay Jaiswal stated.
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Union ministers RK Singh, Giriraj Singh, and Ashwini Kumar Choubey can be a part of the 70-member crew, he stated.
The elections to the 243-member Bihar meeting are due in October-November.
Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will lead the ballot marketing campaign group.
Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey can be chairman-cum-convenor of the get together’s election administration crew, whereas Agriculture Minister Prem Kumar will chair the manifesto committee, Jaiswal stated.
Bihar BJP has set a goal to win three-fourth of seats for the NDA within the meeting polls. PTI
