Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s spouse and their two sons have been booked for allegedly shopping for two plots of presidency land within the metropolis illegally and fraudulently, an official mentioned on Monday.
Nine others concerned in promoting the plots to the trio too have been booked on dishonest and forgery prices, a Revenue Department official mentioned.
One of the plots of land, on which Ansari’s spouse Afsa Ansari and their sons Abbas Ansari and Umar Ansari, have constructed a resort in Mahuva Bagh locality, was purchased by them on April 29, 2005, he mentioned.
The land is situated in Mohammadpur space and was marked as barren land within the authorities data, he mentioned, including but they managed to purchase the land.
Similarly, one other piece of land was illegally purchased by Afsa Ansari on September 23, 2005, and he or she additionally acquired its possession modified in income data, he mentioned.
An FIR was lodged in Ghazipur Kotwali police station on Sunday after detailed investigations, lasting over two months, on instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the official added. PTI
