‘Adike Patrike’ editor Manchi Srinivasa Achar lifeless

Eminent agriculture journalist and editor of the Kannada farm journal ‘Adike Patrike’, Manchi Srinivasa Achar, died at a hospital right here after a quick sickness, household sources mentioned.

Achar, 74, who died on Saturday, is survived by spouse, son and a daughter, they mentioned.

He was former president of Puttur-based All India Areca Growers Association.

He additionally served because the president of the Farmer First Trust which printed Adike Patrike from Puttur for greater than three many years.

Achar was one of many trustees of the Mangaluru-based arecanut analysis and growth basis.
