71-year-old man shot at by son, an ex-army man, over financial dispute

Muzaffarnagar, August 13

A 71-year-old man was shot at allegedly by his son, a retired military man, and hospitalised with essential accidents, police mentioned Thursday.  

They mentioned former military jawan Sunil Kumar used his licensed gun to open fireplace on his father Mai Chand on Wednesday night over some property dispute.

They are residents of Manglora village beneath Jhinjhana Police Station within the neighbouring Shamli district.

Chosana police outpost in-charge Ravinder Kumar mentioned Sunil’s elder brother Yogesh Kumar lodged a grievance in reference to the case. He mentioned within the grievance that the difficulty began after Sunil demanded cash from his father. 

While Sunil lives along with his different members of the family at Shamli city, his aged father lives at their native village Manglora. 

Police mentioned Mai Chand has 45 bighas of agricultural land which he has divided amongst his three sons. PTI
