5 Rafale jets contact down at Ambala airbase


New Delhi, July 29

In historic moments for the Indian Air Force, the primary batch of 5 Rafale fight jets on Wednesday landed on the Ambala airbase, officers mentioned.

The fleet had landed at Al Dhafra airbase on Monday within the UAE after flying for over seven hours from the Merignac airbase. It was the one stopover by the jets whereas flying from France to India.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh’s workplace mentioned the Rafales are escorted by two Sukhoi 30 MKIs after they entered the Indian air house.

The jets have been additionally refulled mid-air from a French tanker at a top of 30,000 ft.

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria will obtain the fleet at Ambala.

The Rafale jets are India’s first main acquisition of fighter planes in over twenty years, and they’re anticipated to considerably enhance the Indian Air Force’s fight capabilities. PTI
