45 newly-elected RS members take oath; Naidu urges them to uphold guidelines

Forty 5 members took oath as Rajya Sabha MPs within the higher home’s chambers, whereas following bodily distancing norms, on Wednesday.

Among them, 36 have been newly-elected, together with Haryana consultant Deepender Hooda.

In a tweet, Hooda stated he can be the voice of the poor, farmers and youth in Parliament. 

Addressing the MPs, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu urged them to query their conduct every day to see whether or not it introduced dignity to the House and was moral. He stated they need to not fall prey to disruptions and uphold guidelines and procedures whereas discharging their duties as lawmakers.

Twelve of the re-elected MPs embody Sharad Pawar, Bhubaneswar Kalita, Digvijay Singh and Tiruchi Siva.

Mallikarjun Kharge, former Leader of Congress in 16th Lok Sabha  Sabha, and Congress basic secretary Okay C Venugopal have been among the many 61 MPs elected to the House.
