2 govt college lecturers suspended for not hoisting tricolour in UP’s Banda

Two lecturers in Uttar Pradesh’s Banda district have been suspended for not hoisting the nationwide flag in a authorities college on the Independence Day, an official stated on Sunday.

According to Basic Education Officer Harishchandra Nath, the motion was taken towards the lecturers after a video was obtained which confirmed that nationwide flag was not hoisted at an higher major (Class 6 to Class 8) authorities college in Sirsauna village in Naraini space of the district on the Independence Day.  

Nath stated, “headmaster Manoj Ahirwar and assistant teacher Ganga Pooja have been suspended with immediate effect.”

Block Education Officer of Jaspura and Kamasin blocks have been requested to probe the matter and submit their reviews inside 15 days, the officer stated. PTI
